Upgrading Your Ozone Water Treatment System

When properly maintained your ozone water treatment system can continue producing ozone for ten and in some cases even twenty years, which is why preventive maintenance is so important. During that time, however, your needs may change. Perhaps your facility has grown and you find that it requires more ozone than it did when it was smaller, or it is possible that you now find yourself in a situation in which you require less ozone that you originally did. Remember, too much ozone can be as much a problem as too little. In either scenario, you will find that you need to make an adjustment to your ozone water treatment system.

Purchasing a new Ozone Water Treatment System is not Always the Answer

Most other manufacturers will make the same recommendation to you: buy another system. After all, it is the most lucrative and easy way for them to make the necessary adjustments. Our approach is quite different. If you don’t need a new generator we’re not going to sell you one. Before recommending a new ozone water treatment system we prefer to diagnose your current application and figure out if there are any ways that we can modify your existing generator in a way that will allow it to produce more ozone, less ozone, or simply to produce it more reliably.

Economical Upgrades to your Ozone Water Treatment System

In many cases, we find that by simply installing additional filters or replacing worn out ancillary equipment we can make those necessary modifications. Other common solutions include:

  • Adding ORP
  • Adding an ozone destructor
  • Installing better injectors or filters
  • Installing a variable frequency transformer

There are many ways to modify ozone water treatment system’s performance, purchasing a new system is not always the most economical solution.

If your ozone needs have changed and you would like to consider modifying your existing ozone water treatment system, Finnegan-Reztek can help you to find the most cost-effective solution. Before you let another manufacturer sell you a new ozone water treatment system give us a call to explore the possibility of a system upgrade.
